The immature, feeble minded, half witted people that make these comments get off on your responses. They feed on your responses. It would be much more productive to resist the urge to respond and simply report the statements as abusive, every time. If they get no feedback it REALLY p*sses them off and disappoints them. They WANT you to be offended, shocked, and as p*ssed and unhappy as they are. When you respond they read the responses with glee, they have succeeded in irritating you. Oh happy day for them. So please, try to control the urge to tell those kind of people what kind of jerks they are and simple report the abuse in masses.

Depends on how you respond. If you respond with outrage, yes, they get off on it. Having a better comeback line pisses them off.

I agree and see no constructive point in answering those biggoted, disrespectful and, potentially, harmful comments. My grandmother always said: the most intelligent of the two will not add another word. So let's be geniuses and not fuel their fire! :)
