Does this happen to anyone else? comments on size (25 weeks)?

Often I get comments from people (always from men expcept a couple of times) on how big I am at 25 weeks. It's not like I was exactly overweight when I got pregnant. I am measuring right on to where I should be but I keep getting comments on being "big" or asking if there are two? Does this happen to anyone else? I am so tired of it. I am normal size for 25 weeks!

Well I'm not that far along yet but I just had someone at work tell me this morning that she can't believe I'm showing already and that it's really early. Right now I'm 16 weeks so I don't think it's out of the ordinary to be showing now (even though I started showing at 12 weeks) So I hope by the time I'm 25 weeks people aren't saying that to me. If I'm showing now and people think that's too soon then they will probably think I'm big at 25 weeks too.

it is just annoyin if not more to have people question why you are so small, or you cant even tell, and follow up with " are you eating" or you really should be eating more it isnt good fo the baby.. like i am an idiot and dont know to eat while pregnant this is my second HEALTHY baby you know...

I just lived my whole pregnancy that way. I was getting real tired of it by the end. I delivered at 35 weeks, but I actually was measuring 40 weeks. He weighed 7 lbs, at 5 weeks early.

i am 28 weeks... my belly is HUGE, and i am tiny.. that is why people notice it more (or at least thats what they tell me) and i am only having one baby!!! we all carry different.. i am having a boy, and people are telling me that is why i am so out front, and you cant tell from the back..

dont listen to them,i think that happens to a lot of us.you are just fine.

I think in general people have no clue what size is "normal" so everyone is either huge or tiny. I get both right now. my hubby tells me I am huge (thanks hun) and other people tell me I am just starting to show and I look so small and things like that. other people do make comments about my being big, it's not just the hubby. I get the twins comment all the time. I just smile and move on. I love my belly, big or small!

Lol. I felt the same way. I have five kids and with every pregnancy people asked me if I was having twins or even triplets. Men do not understand what a womens body goes through during pregnancy so just feel comfortable with yourself. I got tired of hearing it too, but I ended up either laughing or ignoring them. It is really none of anybody's business. Just wait till you get farther along, strangers will ask what you are having, how far along you are, etc... I even had strangers ask if they could rub my belly, how crazy is that!! People used to walk by me at work and touch my belly. Get used to the questions though because I bet there will be tons more. As long as you and the baby are healthy, I wouldn't worry about it. Congrats!!!!!!!

Yes. It won't stop anytime soon. Annoying, isn't it!

i would just try and ignore them if it bothers you. Yes people are always commenting on how big someone is when they are pregnant. and a lot of the size is how the baby is positioned peope should know when a person is pregnant of course they are going to get bigger its normal i never got very big myself i could hide i was pregnant the whole time but i wish i would have been bigger so people knew i was pregnant

Everyone has snide comments for pregnant women, along with those classic horror stories of disaster labors that lasted 6 years uphill in the snow... sarcasm, I know, but they seem that bad sometimes.

As long as your OB isn't concerned about your size, don't worry about it. With one of my pregnancies, everyone exclaimed over how HUGE I was and that surely there were twins or triplets in there. With the other two, people said I was too small and constantly asked me if I was eating enough or sure when I was due. In all three pregnancies, I was measuring on track, but carried the babies differently.

I was in an Aquamoms class and it was amazing how much difference in all the pregnant moms, even those due around the same time. I looked a lot smaller than moms due a month later than I was with the last pregnancy, at least until the last two weeks when she dropped into my pelvis and I looked like I was carrying twins then.

Good luck and just ignore the peanut gallery when they feel the need to comment.

yes and it carries on until you give birth! i'vehad the comments all through all my pregancies and you kinda get really sick of it 39+5 with 3rd and it still gets to me!

so you get people staring at you too? i do! that gets on my nerves too, i used to get comments like you must be due to drop any day and i was only 27 weeks pregnant, i'd so no i have a few months left and they'd say what are you acrrying twins!

some people should just mind there own bursiness, and who are men to comment anyway, they wont ever be pregant!

justtry to ignore best you can!

good luck and congratulations on the pregancy

I think we all get those comments. It's either they're saying we're too small, or we're too big. I think they do this when they have nothing better to say. They're trying to make conversation, and don't know what the hell to say. But everyone's different. Sometimes the really big babies are in the tiniest bellies. So you definitely can't measure how big the baby is or how healthy the mommy is by how big her stomach is. Don't stess it. And if it really bothers you, and you want them to know it bothers you, ask them, "so, for my height, since you seem to know the ideal weight of a 25 week pregnant woman, what do you suggest my weight should be?"

haha thats funny im tiered of people constantly telling me i am so small. i am 30 weeks and i just look chunky. i use to weigh 125 and well ive gained 22 and i think its all in my hips and butt. they are always saying my friend is as far as ou and she is huge and so i sit there and i wonder is that good or bad, sometime it makes me feel like less of a pregnant person. dont worry i dont think people are ever satisfied and sometimes they just say things without noticing the impact of their words. :::hugs::::

I went from not looking pregnant at all at 24 weeks to going to my midwife appointment at 25 1/2 and having Her ask if I was having twins! I got sent in for a second ultrasound because once I started to show I really showed. I wasn't bigger than I should have been but it was all at once and All belly. I'll be 26 weeks tomorrow with number two and this last week I suddenly started to look pregnant, I swear she sticks out more every time I see a mirror! I only gained 32 lbs with number one and lost it all in a week but I looked like a house on stilts by the end. It happens to many people there's not much to do but take heart and get a sense of humour and a few friendly comebacks about it.

Good luck and congratulations

Every woman is different. I am 27 weeks and my doctor told me to pay attention to make sure I was not gaining too much (I have gained 21 pounds so far) The weird thing is, is that you can't really tell. I have a small belly. Everyone I know is like so how far along are you 3? 4 months? I will be 7 next week. So I guess it is all in who you talk to. The 25-35 pound range is an avg according to my doctor. As long as you are eating healthy and excersizing, you may just be one of the lucky few (like me apparantly) who gains more. She said that those women usually lose it pretty easy with breast feeding.
